Postby Gonzo » Wed Jun 10, 2020 6:52 pm

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anybody knows if that bollard is still in place on the slipway in Rush harbour?

Thanks

Curious to hear about this or where people launch around Rush, Donabate or Malahide?

My uncle said he had to join Rush sailing club to use their slipway after they put the bollard in the harbour, but I'd say that's more for convenience. There's a public slipway in Loughshinny but I think it depends on the tide. Then there's a public slipway in Malahide that's decent enough.

Does the slip in Malahide require a 4x4?

Bollard still at rush.
Skerries slip is ur best bet, beware the algae on the slip if the tide is low ish.
Danger of the tow vehicle side slipping off the slip way unless you have a 4 wd.

It's just past the turn for the marina! I'd only ever use it if my boat was fairly small though..
