Courtmacsherry this weekend

Anybody interested in fishing Courtmacsherry this weekend. I'm struggling to get numbers together to fill a boat. So far there's 2 of us. Weather is looking good (albeit cold).

What boat, and what kind of money

Lady Louise/Lady Patricia. Probably €60 per head, might be €70 if we fish offshore wrecks. The skipper is currently looking to fill a few spaces.

Probably best to contact Mark Gannon at Courtmacsherry Angling centre to see what spaces are left and on which days. These winter trips are always last minute affairs because of the unpredictability of the weather, but the fishing can make it all worthwhile. Hopefully see you there at the weekend.

is der any room left ? any spaces in a car aswell ? cudnt afford juice down just by my self

We're leaving Dublin tomorrow at 5 AM, fishing tomorrow and Sunday and returning Sunday evening. There's room in the car for 1 more. If you're interested you should email Mark & Trish csal@iol.ie and see if there's still space on the boat, and I'd be surprised if they didn't have room in the B&B tomorrow night too.

How did you fare out?

There was just 3 of us and the skipper on the Saturday cos he had a group of 4 that cancelled on him the day before. He still took us out, and to be fair he worked really hard for us, we covered alot of ground. The weather was great but the fishing was pretty tough. We fished a number of reef marks, and tried a couple of drifts over wrecks. Ended the day with a box of Pollack and a couple of codling. There was 10 on the boat on Sunday, again the weather was perfect so we steamed out about 25 miles to some wrecks near the gas rigs. Lots of fish showing on the sounder but there wasn't much of a bite on. I ended the day with about 12 ling to about 12lbs, a couple of pollack and a Cod. Saw some whales & dolphins. All in all a very enjoyable weekend.
