length to weight converters...load of bull grrr.

hey lads,
just to say about the report i made on the east ferry thornback ray.
i had no scales on board that day i caught the thornie,so i used a measuring tape to get the wingspan, which was 80 cm.
went home and found a length to weight converter online.i typed in the wingspan and it gave me back the weight of 23.4 lbs.ahem.
having not being used to catching rays i am a little bit of an undergraduate at estimating their weights.
anywho,if anybody wants to have a look heres the link that fed me a grand spoon of shite arming me with false knowledge so i could go away and make a complete feckin eejit of meself.
here it is for ye so hopefully no-one else will make the same mistakes i did,had a blast hawling him in,to say the least this so called converter put a serious f#*king downer on it for me.be wide and avoid this site,it could suck the buzz out of an otherwise great feeling, and that folks is what its all about for me.

its only a number! the important thing is you caught the fish and enjoyed the experience of doing so - job done :D

no need to get hung up on numbers, a good fish is a good fish whatever number you put on it....

Bet you got a great slaggin from your mates about that one. :D
Put it behind you --- you caught a fine fish and had a great day's fishing that's what it's all about.
