What type of hull. Is it a lake boat? Post up a picture of your boat and we'll be able to give better advice.

I have used Toplac in the past. Perfect for the job an hard-wearing.

Yep you can't go wrong with international paint, Toplac is what I use.
I was recommended a place in Midleton that does JCB paint... meant to be very good and long lasting + the benefit of having them mix up any color you like. I've not tried it yet!

Hi Lads,
How did you prime the surface before you applied the Toplac?
Thanks.

I used the international primer.... pre-kote.
Maybe there are cheaper solutions, but the finish was amazing....

Used key lightly with sandpaper, removing lose bits etc. Come to think of it, used use Toplac for a strip around the keel band of an orkney as well as the inside. It never peeled off the outside either. Good stuff.
