don't mean to take up too much of your time :D can
anyone make a short comment on the below boat gear,
I'm interested in the 20/30lb + 300L reel for £65 as it's
my first boat rod and i don't want to spend a fortune. I'm
buying two and were going to share the postage.

Rod & Reel

The 20/30 should be a heavyish rod. If you are doing more mixed fishing for smaller species the 12/20 would be more fun. If you plan on hauling congers from wrecks etc. go for the 20/30.

cheers,

went for the 12/20 and was cheeky enough to
ask for free line (i've bought a good bit from
them recently!)

we'll see

hi
i bought one of these combos, the 12/20, its nearer 12 than 20, a nice light rod, havent used it much yet as its not my main rod but i have taken 6 lb pollack on it and it felt good, my reel has a slight problem with level wind laying more line one one side than other, have cleaned it to no avail, so check for this, i have varivas 20 lb braid on mine, you can feel every pluk
cheers steve
