Lads I'm looking for ideas on who and where to book for a boat trip and what type of fishing will give us the most action at this time of year??

try and get Colin Barnes in Union Hall Cork.
he has a great set up and he is the best skipper I've experienced he is a bundle of knowledge :wink:

agree with brian, he's an exceptional skipper and if the wrecks are fishing well u'l be amazed by the fishing

considering that the winds have been westerly for the last couple of months, would the seas not make it very uncomforatable that far out???

really depends on the previous few weeks. if you get a calm spell they can settle relatively quickly.also depends on how rough conditions you are willing to fish in

If you have not been fishing at this time of year before it can be a bit of a shock.
Once you get over the cold the results can be hard won…to say the least.

Because people are getting out less, there is less info as to what’s happening around the area. Many species have gone to ground or to warmer waters. Wrecks are hit and miss as well.

Ye’ll still have a great day out, be realistic on the chances!!
