My penn senator reel has started to 'grind' and 'slip' when it comes under pressure. Any idea what's wrong with it, I presume something is worn. Can I replace the part myself and can anyone suggest where to send it?

Hi thirty, Phone Mick Simmons (Penn Servicing-Pershore Worcs.) on 01386 552949 ,tell him your problem,he is very helpful and specialises in Penn reel repairs. The postage usually costs more than the repairs. I am speaking from experience as he has recently repaired three Penn boat reels for me.

Thirty,
You need to get onto Penn direct, they do their own repair work now in Glasgow....Mike Symmons franchise stopped over a couple of years ago.

I never said he wasn't still in business....if warranty work is needed then you need to go direct to Penn.
