hey guys just joined site and am rlly impressed anyways just bought me own boat and wanna get a fixed vhf for her just asking what you guys reccommend dont wanna spend massive money but not gonna scimp on a cheap one either if thats possible

The best fixed VHF for your money is a Cobra MRF55EU DSC unit for all of €110.00 here

A good few of us on here have them well tried and tested with absolutely no complaints :wink: Do a search on here we have covered interfacing one to a gps/plotter more than once for to get the DSC function operational too :!:

does this unit come with antenna or is there a preferred one you guys use sorry for asking mobile phone was all i used use but will be fishing under cliffs on clare coast c

No you will need to buy an antenna separately :cry:

Something like this one will do you fine

You will probably also need an antenna mount for that antenna something like this :

just bought one today its a cobra looks the dogs bol*$# has all the stuff you want on it not bad on price 140 euro very happy :lol: :lol: :lol:
if ya cant fish in heaven i dont wanna go!!!!!!!!!
