Easiest way to get my hands on charts

Tue Feb 02, 2010 5:16 pm

This may have been already dealt with on a previous topic, but if so I couldn’t see it. Is there some place on the web that I can order a sea charts.
I am specifically looking for detailed inshore charts for north Clare mainly looking at the ballyvaughan , black head etc

You require Admirality charts 3339 and 1984. Google them, they are expensive.
For lots of useful information relating to these chart areas, look at http://www.infomar.ie/surveying/Bays/Galwayv1.php

The Infomar details loaded into Google earth is great.
Make sure that you have the position format the same are you use on your gps (normally decimal minutes)
If you register on this site (free) you'll get some access to online charts.
