Three of us are currently in Lyngseidet in north Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. The fishing here is great and the weather's not bad either (it's over 20C now). I'm particularly proud of my 17.35kg coalfish, but I can't embed a Flickr image, so click here to see it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/15347889@N08/4860649370/in/pool-nlsa#/photos/15347889@N08/4860649370/in/pool-1513995@N22/lightbox/.
We're getting a lot of cod in the 10-15kg range, enough to make the arms ache, along with a few big coalfish. We haven't got a halibut yet, but that's next on the list! We'll add more pics on flickr as time allows: http://www.flickr.com/groups/nlsa/pool/.
I just have to give a mention to our host, Stein-Erik Eliassen, who has been very helpful: we're staying in Sorheim Brygge http://www.sorheim-brygge.no/index.php?lang=en, in pretty luxurious accommodation, complete with sauna. The location is on the dock, and the boat is an aluminium Kvaerno with a 50hp engine - absolutely fabulous: fast, stable, plenty of room, and I think I'll ask Santa for one for Christmas (although I doubt he'll deliver!).
