Hi all,
I was wondering....
I like to listen to music and podcasts when fishing, sometimes it's the only chance I get...
To those who do too, what do you like to listen to?
This could make interesting reading.....

I like the sound of waves and birds singing around me

I don't listen to music when fishing, but I'm very careful about what I listen to when driving to the mark. Because all it takes is one crappy bit of pop dandruff on the radio, and that's the song you'll be hearing in your head all night long ...

So true, couldn't agree more. Fishing to me is also about time to think without everyday distractions and god there are so many these days. I listen to music at home but not usually in my car, but if your not careful your brain can be swirling with whatever junk the media throws at you through radio, tv and internet. Choose your own, thats the most important thing to me anyway.

Music and the occasional audiobook when I actively want to lose track of time!
The change from one album to another sometimes triggers the "I should be going now" train of thought that should only be triggered by running out of bait or mild hypothermia!

Dead true. I drove out of my drive the other morning, flicked on the radio and was greeted by MMMM.bop by Hansen, spoiled the whole day.
some of those dj's are sick puppies
Never listen to anything other than the ambient sounds of shore and wind, the scream of terns and cries of oystercatchers. why would you want to miss that.

When actually fishing I prefer a zen-like silence. But when i knock off for the tea and sambo, I'll either turn on Madwest Radio (yeeeeha!) or the iPod. I have a few classical pieces on it that fit well with the seascape surroundings and can lift the mood on biteless days.
