hypothetically, if i was to fish today from 2- 5 and catch and keep my 2 bass quota 9lets say both fish were caught at 4), and fish tomorrow from 3-6 and catch another bass at 3.30pm that i wanted to keep, am i in breach of the bass law of only 2 per 24 hrs
just a hypothetical question, before anyone klls me

as is my understanding of the bass law, and apparently the same for the new coarse and pike bye laws, the law is built around keeping fish in a 24 hour period. That is it does not imply that the law is based on one calendar day, but rather a 24 hour period in itself. So the period beings when youn keep your first fish
so, as i am led to think, yes you would be breaking the law

Yes you would because you would have caught them within 24hrs.

sorry but i actually misworded the original post,
what if the fish were caught more than 24 hrs apart but the 3rd fish(1st fish in 2nd session) was caught only 20hrs after the 1st session finished, but say 25 hours after the other 2 were landed.
in this case the fish were caught more than 24 hrs apart but i would have had 3 fish in a 24 hr period.
dont know if this makes sense, but its just a hypothetical scenario

has anyone actually heard of anyone being prosecuted for breaking bass laws?

The law prohibits having more than two bass in your possession, so I guess when you actually caught them wouldn't matter. Also, the law states "any 24 hour period".
