good 20lb. braid for casting?

Thu Mar 25, 2021 11:09 am

i have been using some 30lb whiplash and it seems very thick, killing distance and catching the wind- my 8lb/0.28mm line flies past. can anyone recommend a decent 20lb. braid with casting a priority?

Whiplash is usually very good in terms of thickness. Maybe you have US rated line which would be thicker for stated breaking strain than EU line?
On my lure rods I am using Owner Kizuna 20lb. It is serious line, incredible even. I also use Maxima 8 strand 20lb and it is not as soft as the Kizuna but it is very good.

I'm using JOF super pe x9 that I got from aliexpress. The 25lb has a diameter of .147 I couldn't fault it in any way and 500m for 15 quid is a steal

Also the Angryfish AGWX9 from aliexpress is also excellent stuff
