I know i know its waaaaaaaaaaay to early but im feeling optimistic, hope its better this year than last..... What are peoples opinions?

im looking forward to it! hopefully its better than last year only had 3 fish over 2.5lbs last year!

Oh Please God let it be better than last year, tis a long drive from Limerick for a couple of whiting and small codling :shock: :shock: :shock:

Well lad, I don't know who the crazy fool are but I would be expecting to get a few cod off the beaches from now on.
It is a good indicator for the coming winter

I wonder if the wife will let me have a few days in Cork this winter. Just in case I am lucky to get a fishing pass, which is better November or January

A good start would be look at the cod thread from last year :idea: it will give you a rough idea of locations and dates when old bucket mouths turned up .No doubt once a few start to turn up word will spread like a wild fire and you will know exactly when and where.Hope im wrong but not expecting a hectic cod year but should definitely be good sized whitting about judging by the numbers of pins last year :cry:
