hi all. new to the site. plan on doing more beach fishing. just starting out

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Location is Malahide - Co. Dublin.

Was hoping to try a dexter rig off Devil's Rock in Howth for Mackerel this evening but the thunder/lightning storm might have put an end to that.
Would be my first time out there.

Past two days I spent an hour or so off the West pier with feathers after work...no luck though.
