I cannot tell you about Galway but Galway Bay itself is clear. There is only a slight staining of red in the highest rockpools in North Clare the rest of the pools are crystal clear and teeming with life. Gannets and terns are once again working inshore and large shoals of baitfish are to be found around the rocks. Still plenty of week suspended which hamper lure fishing slightly but it is isolated and you will find clear water if you look. There are five days of big tides starting tomorrow and this should clear the last of the algae hopefully but will leave more weed.

hi Lingy the red tide has cleared but the bait fishing is still a bit slow,i heard of some ray, pollack, wrasse, and flounder being caught but the dogfish are gone very quite, there is a competition out in renvyle on the 25th i will let you know what is caught,if you are around call out
plenty of mackerel and bait fish around so hopefully the fishing will pick up a bit more before you arrive
