evening into dark best time. bass, flounder, mullet and sea trout. spinning takes bass and sea trout. mullet show to rag or maddies. bass (and flounder) take rag but crab us definately worth a shot- u can fish the bait a little longer. i knew an angler that used to catch bass here on crab up to about 4 1/2lb. in weight. he swore by fishing evening rise and not casting too far. the channel comes as close as 20 yards at one piont. make a note of the channel at low tide and fish into it on the rise. follow the tide up towards St. Annes to keep in touch with the fish. occassional good catches made here. this month and next are great times to fish here. best of luck.

On the coast road walk out to the channel when you reach the dinghy supplies in sutton , at extreme low tide this channel is infested with mullet , and I am talking big mullet. I regularly dig here and they actually swim around your feet. Prebait with a gallon or two of mashed bread for a few days before fishing
