east coast meet?

the weather is cold, the fishin is bad and i don't think i am the only one that needs a good reason to go fishing now!! would it be an idea to have a fish'n'meet? bit of crack??

sorry lads i was just jokin!? killiney might be handy though- near to the car! i could bring a gas cooker and Seaniebo cud make us all a big fry up in return for one or two hens?! then he could make a pair of wellies for his grandson?!

should be coalies around at close range from beach or in the rough. flounder possible too. failing that we could try sorrento point/ colliemore harbour?? at least we're in with a chance here?? i'll check tides?? if anyone has any ideas please suggest?? we could go further afield?? anyone??

Jk there is a carpark on killiney beach. at whiterock you need to park on the side of the road, above the beach. the beach at whiterock is at the dalkey end of killiney beach.

Im happy to try these spots but if you do want to try somewhere further afield would morriscastle be worth a go? might be a bit far? We could try Cones aswell, a nice well signposted spot which should produce a few flats if nothing else. If people want to stay closer to Dublin though reckon the Killiney area is worth a go.

I suggested Morriscastle to Mark alright, but it would want to be fishing reasonably well to justify the drive. Killiney might be handier if the same species are gonna show anyway. Am happy with either (or Clones).

What day and time are we talking about lads? I'll need time to sort out bait, and the tides aren't looking great for that at present.

And I bought my wellies in Guineys for 6 euro. 'Nuff said....

I've just been told that my entire back fence blew down last night. Guess what I'll have to spend the feckin weekend doing.

Happened to me last year Steve. Those wooden inserts can be a pain in the ass. When you replace or fix them drive some dowel or bamboo stick down each side so the there is very little movement. This stops the wind from rattling them around.

Morriscastle? saturday. midday? fish up into dark. i pressume lug will be the best bait tipped with mackeral and the like. it doesn't take too long to get to wexford now! what yee say?

Morriscastle is further down past Courtown. You drive all the way until you get to a small town called Kilmuckridge. Here, there is a turn to the beach for Morricastle. You will know your at the bach as there is several Caravanparks in the area and a parking/Picnic area.

Between Morricastle and Tinnebearna there is possibly one of the best pieces of ground for Codling and Flounders this time of the year, its broken ground mixed with some fresh water tributries and deep depressions after that it becomes shallow again at the start (north end) of Tinnebearna.
