wrong page but for all budding boat anglers....

Mon Jan 07, 2008 2:52 pm

Hi I'm a new poster, but just wanted to say every year I book a boat out of Kilmore Quay and would like to ask if at very short notice from April to September (once a month) if I needed a spare body to make 8 or 9 people would there be interested parties?
There is no need to answer now, but sometimes I may be gagging to get 8 due to family commitments from mates so If I post say the week ahead post back I'll check regularly of that week and you're in. Normally all trips are saturday and sundays (this year I have 1 Friday booked).
Anyway there you go. I hope to get back out on the beach soon, with North Wexford beaches top of list.

excellent response lads, and by the look of it we'll have a few experts too!! there are three of us who are sea angling (fairly regulars) and anglers for sure but lack a little of da knowledge sometimes, the captain is brilliant too. It's just we sometimes bring real amatuers and it can be a pain. If you link to http://www.kilmoreangling.com and check out the pictures you'll a 72lb tope (taken by a second timer non fisherman!!! top row of piccies) with us last year! it is in for the new irish record, we are waiting to hear about it!! anyway you'll all be in my thoughts if there are any vacancies, it'll have to be first post gets first offer hope that suits!?

keep me in mind might get 1or2 more aswell

eamon is a lovley man great skipper.

looks like the tope didnt make to the specimen report.
was this fish killed or brought ashore and returned after weighing :?:

Yes fish was returned healthy and alive. You wanted to see us on the boat! fecking crazy!!! we had water pipe in the jaws wet covers over the eyes the full monty, the fish was fine if a bit perplexed!!
Yes I agree Eamonn is the dogs, we have a great time with him, great craic altogether. I think the lad that caught it missed the last sitting of the panel, but the fish was weighed onshore and taken back out of the harbour! we caught it fairly close in and Eamonn didn't spare the deisel getting there!

we normally tow a boat down every couple of weeks weather permitting.

summer time can see us out for some seriously long days 12 hour trips are not uncommon
