right waterfoot or glenarm beach lads i haven try waterfoot so its the two places we do a vote between the two places and we take it from there then :D or even carnlough drew likes fishing it

i vote for carnlough only jokeing drew  waterfoot i will put a poll on sure and we can take it from there. waterfoot would be nice like as there is an open comp there on the 17th so it would give me a chance to try out bait and see if what i have in mind works :?:

lads, if given the option of the 3 beaches , glenarm would always be the last one i would go to.
waterfoot usually throws up good numbers of fish, but mostly generally on the smaller side.
carnlough i have yet to blank here in darkness. to me one of the beach beaches on the east antrim coast without a shadow of a doubt.
as with every venue it is a case of finding the best conditions, tide and rigs and baits, success will come once you find the secrets!
carnlough should bethrowing up dogs, codling, coalies and good flounder this time of year

As there is mixture or marks being thrown up. Why not get numbers and the person that posted meet have the choice then people can start to plan.
Just an idea

I always liked the meets as it was simply way to get help and guidance for more experienced anglers.
Any form of comp may stop new starts joinin in the fun. Me myself have and still do learn so much from people at these meets. My wife has just started fishing and she would feel a bit wierd if turned to a comp even if only as stated a bit of fun.
She would fell her kit and know how a bit not up to the job of a comp and inturn fell out of place if that makes sense.
I am not saying we would not go if the group want to go down this road but some may fell a bit out of place.
Again only my view and happy to do what group wants as we enjoy the meets no end.

Just to chime in and offer a little advice. If you would like to run a pot at this type of meet then perhaps a side pot for the biggest fish. Anyone has a chance of fluking the biggest fish but if is was the most fish caught, you would need to be more match angling inclined.
If there are 2 or 3 guys interested in a match style approach then just those guys could form another side pot for a couple of quid each and work away themselfs. This way the beginners have a change of getting the biggest fish and can still fish at their leisure and they might get an idea of what match angling is all about.
Again, all pots would be optional.
Just my 2 cents
