Please ensure, prior to chartering any boat, that it has the proper safety equipment on board, and that it has a valid angling licence from the Department of Natural Resources (previously known as the Department of the Marine) and the full compliment of crew & kit.

Some boat skippers are "new" to catch & release,  most cooperate with the tagging and if need be, bring a 'tailer' with you. They are mostly ex-commercial trawlermen and exceptionally knowledgeable about their seascape.  Remember on board, the skipper is the boss!
