Courtesy of John Higgins off the forum, after a long wait to finish the roll of film! A fine Bull Huss around the 9.5 lb mark (4 kilos) from Ballygannon, taken in Novemeber 2004.  It fell to a mackerel bait that was legered out, a few hours before dark in anticipation of a Tope!

Bill Ryan's back!  He took this fine 5 kilo Thornback Ray from the renowned Poulnasherry Bay in Clare.  An early contender for our competitions, it was taken on Paddy's Day on 7 kilo on a 1 hook paternoster holding 4/0 Mustad baited with six sandeels!  Mar 05.

Here is Peter McGroary with a nice Toby caught Pollack from the Scotchport Rocks in north western Belmullet, Co Mayo.  Mar 05.  Sean Lavelle was our guide and a full report is in the shore angling reports on the bulletin board.  Double Click for the full picture.

Here is another nice pollack (1.5 kilos) taken on sandeel legered using a rotten bottom rig - note no lead on the rig's return! I was fishing 12 kilo line straight through on a Penn 535 and a Vendetta rod, i.e. my rough ground set-up.  Mar 05.  Double click for detail.

Thanks to Phil McIlvenna, here is Barry Platt of Larne & District SAC with a nice Donegal Thornback Ray, taken in April 2005 at Fahan.  The fish weighed in at 6 lbs 5 ozs or around 3 kilos in new money!

Finally its Bill Ryan again with yet another shannon Thornback Ray, one of his smaller ones, this time taken on 11th April using sandeels left over from a fruitless session in Doughmore.  April 2005.
