Raw Prawn

I'm wondering why there isn't much love for raw prawn as a go to bait? It's convenient, relatively cheap and seems to catch most species?

Am I alone ?

Have you had any luck with it?

I have caught almost every species of fish using raw prawn either by itself or cocktail over the years.

Regularly takes wrasse, pollock, coalfish and had cod and conger too!

A decent bag of rag here costs around £12 and I rarely convince myself to pay that for a wee session on the rocks!

had quite a few fish on the 'gamba' prawns. takes most species and always worth a shot- its no wonder bait but something different to try.
