Mullet / lure/ fishing Why you could be not catching fish

Postby mickser » Thu May 03, 2018 10:34 am

This is why I always wear latex or plastic gloves while baiting up especially for mullet =fish don’t even have to touch something to taste it. They just need to be close enough to detect the tiny amounts of flavor that an object emits into the surrounding water. So what happens if your lure has a thin film of boat fuel, sunscreen, human sweat, nicotine, soap or one of a thousand other chemicals? A fish gets close enough to attack, gets a bad taste and decides to spit it out like the mullet do .
