as I'm sure your all aware Andrew ran the last club Ireland had and is already on board along with john and myself, we did try to get this going well over a year ago generating plenty of interest but very few put there names forward with conviction.. Recently at the angling Ireland show in swords there seemed to be a good level of interest with some old and new faces asking all the same "Q"s ,where and when,,,,so this is the last attempt at this to try get an official casting club up and running.
The biggest hurdle here is insurance we need a min of 12 names to form a club and avail of the ins as no one in their right mind will let us on there land without it, we have secured a venue for a short time to get the ball rolling but need the ins before we can get started. So if you want to get involved now is the time...

lads this is a thing i would ask you all to get involved in ,if nothing else you will learn a lot of things you dont know and at the end be able to cast further and safer.i know everyone is not a tournament caster but go and enjoy it ,it will surprise you how much you really do enjoy it and how you will be come smitten by it.we have a casting club here in ulster and everyone who came to the meets has improved there distance and really enjoyed the crack ,it also gives you a chance to try rods and reels you might never think on buying ,learn more about reels and reel tuning and general safety when casting.give it a go you just never know.!!!!cheers john

I'd be interested. Beginner but interested, if for no other reason than to learn it right.

Please put my name down also..... More than likely I will not be able to make the first few events as I will be changing nappies, but anything I can do to help get this off the ground.

I'd be very much in the "looking to improve" category but I'd be more than willing to turn up/pay a sub

It will be like a day on the beach without bait, rigs and humping kit, half a dozen leads and a mile of line and away we go!! No worries about blanking, the best reel explosion wins the day!!!! What could be better?
