The angling show is open from 10-5 each day, Saturday & Sunday.
The Specimen Awards are being presented on Saturday afternoon at the Clayton Airport hotel, near the exhibition centre.

There are some good bargains to be had at this. If you are into fly tying there a few real Aladdins Cave stalls where you can find a gem. A couple of years ago I got a good Grizzle hackle cape for 20 quid.

I've gone every year but dont think I'm going to bother this year. Same shops selling off the same old stock every year. As for bargains im not so sure. Last year I went to swords angling centre after I left the show and got better value.

Well anyone make it to the show today? I thought there was very limited sea fishing gear. Lots of coarse and game stuff and a huge emphasis on lure fishing. Other than that it wasn't great

Yeah, walking around here at the moment and there's nothing getting my attention. Was holding off ordering a few bits from VMO in case I'd get them here but very underwhelmed.

The show isn't what it used to be, lots of cheap coarse tackle on offer and by the time I got there on Sunday afternoon any bargains were long gone,
