Shore Squid

Postby frankie wet feet » Mon Dec 10, 2018 1:46 am

Couple of us are going to have a bash at squid fishing in Dun Laoghaire this week. Got the idea from TAF's videos on it over in the UK. We're trying this blind tbh haven't a clue if we even have a chance at all, but after storm Ophelia loads of squid were washed up in Bray so they must be out there. Anyone have any experience or information on shore squid fishing locally? Any help at all would be appreciated can't find any info about it in Ireland!

I've caught squid in skerries it's fairly handy, just find a well lit area and fish a jig on a dropper above a small weight ,cast out when weigh hits bottom use long slow jigging taking in a small bit of line in each time until you find the depth they are at ,that is if their there, try the slack areas of the main current, search on here and you'll find my post
