Angling Accommodation Kilmore

Postby KilmoreQuayCottage » Wed Aug 29, 2018 3:04 pm

Hi there,

We have a beautiful cottage and apartment overlooking Kilmore Quay beach which we rent out throughout the year. We are keen to attract more of the angling community, even offering favourable discounts. We have a local experienced skipper whom we could arrange all inclusive trips with ease at a reasonable price.

However we are not keen anglers ourselves, are there any essentials which we should install in the house to make it more appropriate for angler holidays?

We were thinking a shed for angling gear to keep the house clean for a start but any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any advice or if any queries on the property for rental you can reach me at conor_duffy@me.com !

a area where some gear/clothing can be stored and will dry off if wet and a small fridge/freezer for bait would be ideal - Oh and a free meal pass for Mary Barrys !! :D :D

Ill be in touch

ask anglers if they mind keeping a log of there catches beaches bait etc and keep it there for all to read
let the anglers know about the free bus to mary baries...
put up a post on wirral sea fishing and also world sea fishing and angling addicks lots of lads use them sites and lots travel to ireland.
safe boat storage?
bait fridges in the shed

Just to add to what Jaygo mentioned...

A Shed for the gear and drying - Will need a decent lock as Anglers do have some expensive equipment.
Consider Boat Parking. A lot of Anglers will tow a boat to fish Kilmore.
Free Wifi - Less of an issue these days, with the EU helping remove roaming fees.
A Map of the area with information on the local beaches. I think I might have something to forward to you. PM me your email address.
Details of Local bait and Tackle suppliers.
Fridge / plus freezer in the shed for bait and keeping fish caught.
BBQ - Charcoal is easier from a rental point of view, but gas would work as well.
