Waterford estuary

fished the waterford estuary , trying different spots from Ballyhack up to Bellport in the boat , using frozen crab ,razor, squid black wraps , not a bite - very quiet , not even an eel or flounder ,never mind the cod !!

That's a bit of a surprise, remember fishing Cheekpoint and other marks in the past and finding lots of fish, albeit to no size, there.
Maybe try a little further down towards Arthurstown and down to Duncannon, fishing the drop off on the rise or drop of the tide?

There is plenty of cod further up the river.

Yes fished the filling tide . Ive had plenty of cod out of it in previous years from our usual marks , just very unusual not to even have a bite - How further up river are they showing -from the shore ? Seems there is not much cod about at all so far this year, seems the same for youghal/monkstown - Also fished a few reefs of kilmore and there is not much on them too
