Casting into the dark, Arthurstown Wexford 11/2/16

Hey all, time for my first report!
Place: Arthurstown Pier, Wexford
Who: Me and the da
Time 5pm-6:20pm
Tide: 4.5 Hours into the flood
Bait: Sandeel (didn't catch), Mackeral
Rigs: 2 hook flapper size 3/0
Results: 3 small codling, 2 whiting
Arrived down at the pier at 10 to 5, starting to get dark. Got set up and casted out. Nothing for the first 30 mins, then I got me first codling and the da brought in a whiting. It remained like this for the remainder of the session, small fish but we were happy with what we had. Got a pics of cod and whiting but to dark and blurry. Beautiful evening, still water and not that cold.
Was great to get the da out, we don't get opportunities like this often. I'd like to thank all the lads who gave me advice on this mark, I'm really getting into fishing

Arthurstowns not a bad spot to be kept busy but alot of small fish off it
