Help

Postby Morgan44 » Mon Nov 23, 2015 10:33 pm

I think my casting might be a bit s*** . Talking to a few other guys all our casting could be a bit s*** . If it was down to brute strength and ignorance I would be fine but am thinking that casting is like a golf swing with timing and technique being the key factors I think I'm compressing the rod at the wrong time and generally putting a lot of grunt in and getting average results . I know the right equipment and all that will help but does anyone know anyone in the cork area who is a casting instructor who has a bit of patience and a sense of humour .

I will put a shout out corymb if I hear anything . It doesn't necessarily have to be a certified instructor , maybe one of the guys on here who takes part in the casting fixtures advertised on here and who wants to earn a few euros for a couple of hours on a weekend .
I'm not in the Steven Hawkins league when it comes to casting I would just put myself as average and just believe that a few pointers and advice would make a big difference in distance and the confidence to do the cast the ' duffers ' casting club could soon be formed .
