Salt water Sea trout flies

Postby Buddner » Thu Mar 27, 2014 6:10 pm

Gents, Can anyone put me onto a good link for salt water sea trout flies. There seems to be plenty of sites for showing how to tie flies but not that many that will actually sell what they tie. Anyway, while i'm on the subject is it expensive to buy the set up to tie your own flies??????

I bought a pack of mackeral feathers and cut the features off the trace and used them , a small size 8 split shot jist above the knot has enough to sink the fly though not enough to hinder casting

Google up ChasingSilver, and see if Andy will sell you any of his creations.

Works of art and craft that actually catch fish.

Tell you what, when we first fished (and I wouldn't normally claim anything) with Joseph Manettes 'Sloopy Droopy' tied by Andy Elliott in Ireland the results were amazing, especially when bigger fish were concerned - two elements the fly and the tier.

Both his bass and seatrout flies are NEVER out of my box...at least one of them....
