Chinese lures on ebay

Mon Sep 23, 2013 1:58 pm

About a year ago I went a bit mad on ebay and bout about 25 lures, deep diving, shallow diving, plugs, split lures and some stupid looking orange things which are as big as a good sized banana. I tried a few last Saturday for the first time and I was surprised how well they worked in so far as casting and action are concerned. I didn't catch anything but neither did the other five fellas who were on the spinners and other bait so there's hope yet. They cost about 50 cent each and I ordered them trough some Canadian Company but they were shipped from China. I might start using them with a rotten bottom set up and fish them in the kelp because at that price losing a few won't hurt.

I bought a 5 pack recently of top water plugs.
Separately they were €45 I won them by auction for €5 free postage happy out.

Then Sunday morning while suffering a bit if a hangover was skipping through pages came across this.

Got then for €15 posted.
Like supporting my own shops but what the hell.

Could be a few there work well.

Sorry mate to break the bad news but they are all complete and utter rubbish to be honest!
Been there, bought the T-shirt etc - the only copies of decent lures worth your hard earned money are from here: http://stores.ebay.com/payobaits/PAYO-H ... =877538018
I just wish someone here would have told me earlier ;)

But I did buy another one cheap it was €3

And I spent a lot on feathers / plugs etc in town.
The €3 one hammered mackerel / pollack / etc. almost every cast.
I don believe that if there there they will take it.
But thanks anyhow.

have to agree with the austrian the only copies worth buying are the payo ones they cast great ,have vmc hooks and the paintwork is spot on. have been using them for years now and the seashot lures are the first i try when pluggin' for bass and i do carry some expensive lures too.i've bought them in every colour and have caught bass on all of them.

Some payo lures are exact same lure as cheap chinese with "payo" written on it. I have bought both. Check out minnow crankbait sj 135 on ebay great bass lure. Cant remember the payo name but. It 2 or 3 times the price.

I'm going to test the Chinese crap for a while. What I like is that you can work the lure into places you wouldn't dream of going with a feed shallow or other not so cheep lure.

I haven't cast a rod in the last two weeks. What I liked about some of these lures was that they could be cast quite well and looked as lifelike as any other hard plastic on the way in. Might get out at the weekend.
