Casting lessons Dublin area

Mon Jan 03, 2011 10:43 pm

Hi there,

Does anyone offer or run casting lessons on the east coast? It's my first time with a multiplier reel and i'm getting the birds nest. I only get it right the odd time. I don't mind travelling a bit.

In addition to this - Any good links? Any tips on how to add the line etc?

Cheers all.

Kris

for beginner multi real user...
magnet break has to be max position
line on multi reel has to be level
before cast let it go the rig to ground ,rig shouldnt comes down so quick(should be like a lift down, not like stone fall)
do not try to cast so far, start minimum range
use your thump to control the line each cast
watch the rig ,when rig meet the water stop the line quick and then let it go slowly
before cast with bait, cast couple of time with just weight , short distance to make line wet,it gives you further cast distance when you put bait on the rig
has to right weight should use, to heavy or to light will efect your casting distance
no need to hurry to cast miles, make sure you learn how magnet work ,when time is right you can slowly slowly put less breake
use mone first couple of weeks because braid so so expensive and each birds nest cost you furtune, trust me on that
if you are close to any field or park, do cast practice (make sure no one around for safety issue)
after all use web and forum to watch casting tecniqe, from begining it means worthless to you, but be better poker player you should watch better player first
after each fishing trip wash your gear with some soap, take it out salty water from line.
after all good luck with your new gear, hope it gives you, your dream fish
