charter on 27 feb. west cork

Postby bait all » Sat Feb 12, 2011 2:06 pm

i can offer 2 places on 'Holly Joe' skippered by Colin Barnes. for Sunday 27 feb. We have this boat booked for one sunday every month and the results are often spectacular. Call in to Bait All tackle or P.M. me. first to place the deposit gets the places. I shall attemp to upload photos of the hake i caught on our last trip. this was a personal best and fought like a barracuda making powerful runs away from the boat. The fish took a herring half flapper fished in mid-water approx 60m.

Try this website to quickly resize the pic, choose the location of your pic, select 760 pixels and leave the other settings as they are, click resize and then download now, use that smaller pic to upload here then, cheers

Well done at getting the pic online and on a very nice fish :!:
It's an unusual way to fish leaving a bait mid water like that, maybe one we should try more often!
cheers

Well, i would love to say" oh yeh i new there would be hake there" but, i was retrieveing the rig to check on the flapper, and would be inclined to reel in at a rate that may be attractive to a big pollock, so i guess i just got lucky. But dont tell anyone. One thing that i do with the bait is to mount it on an owner offset hook, this helps avoid the fish spinning in the flow. However if i get another one soon, then i meant it.
