People:me, squalus and 3 others
Duration:8.30 - 15.30
Tide: ? but strong at times!
Weather: bright with a light easterly
Bait:mac, rag, trout,sandeels, launce, squid, lug, whiting.
Rigs:mostly flowing traces for either skate or else spurs and lsds +baited shrimp rigs
Results:
Report:poor today, only 1 spurdog, a few lsds and a good few whiting.

Typical of ballycastle Phil, the fish are few and far between. Last year all we got was mackeral, the bay was full of them. :(

:shock: this is not typical of ballycastle at all!!!!
normally the fishing is excellent here, at least when you are out with sean on the lady lynda anyhow!
all you have to do is look at the number of specimen fish, big skate, etc etc that are taken here, possibly the most productive place on the boat on the north coast in northern ireland!
this was the worst trip fish wise that ive ever seen with sean, it is an exception - you may get some bad days like this but the average and good days more than make up for it!
