dunmore east 16/7/05

fished from 12pm to 630pm with good weather got loads of mackerel and small pollock to around 2lb on feathers and percks tryed tramore bay with mackerel and rag for about an hour and a half 1mackerel to rag no other bite to 6 rod had ground bait down an all.also got a couple of poult and scad on the drift.

fished tramore friday the 15th plenty of thornback rays to mackeral flappers and two turbot to baited shrimp rig all on the drift allbeit slow as the weather was great slack winds .
fished about 12 miles south of dunmore east saturday plenty of good whiting and 4 haddock moved on to the milwauke wreck which had plenty of double figure ling tried the anthony on the way home and had a few pouting cuckoo wrasse and some fine pollock .
fished just off the hook about 2.5 miles s.w monday the 18th and there are plenty of codling going it's just difficult to get down past the mackeral .
theres talk of shark being caught in the nets just a few miles off so next weeks mission is going to be to try a bit of shark fishing

as i am new to this, where about is the milwauke wreck if you are coming from tramore,also would any body have little maps of the area,around tramore and the names of the marks, thanks dezzer.

what traces were ye useing for the ray,were ye in the bay itself?sat was the first time this year we tried for ray but tried lots last year with no luck. we always anchored up saturday we were in 20-25 feet of water would you think boat noise has anything to do with it as we didnt even catch any doggies? any info would be great help. :?

normally fish an hour before and after either tide mackeral flappers catch them for us even picked them up on baited shrimp rigs getting them both on the drift and at anchor have only got one l.s.d over there
