Lambay Is

Postby Swords Fish » Mon Jun 27, 2005 10:48 am

People: Kiwijbob, Skipper & me
Duration: 12.15 to 12.30pm
Weather: Hot dam hot
Bait: Feathers
Results: 15 Macks, 1 whiting

Plan was to feather for bait for a short period. It seemed every time we dropped we scored.
With enough macks for bait (& the proceeding BBQ) we attempted to move position in search of the bigger fish.
Equipped with Rag, Sand ells & plenty of fresh mackerel for an afternoon of fun we discovered the engine would not start.
After 2 hrs drifting & attempting to fix engine we were finally towed (rescued!) by the crew of a yet to be identified boat from Rush sailing club who generously took time out of their schedule to come to our assistance.

Thank you guys from the 3 burnt Lobsters.

Them macks tasted so good it was nearly worth all the hassel !!

Yeah the tide ensured that the dangerous rocks off Lambay did't come into play.

Just damaged pride .... we had only joined the Rush club a few hours previously. What an introduction to our new clubmates !!!
