West of the Island proved productive with descent pollack with almost every cast. Leadheads baited simply with rag or lug proved deadly with the takes arm-wrenching. Coalies moved in so we moved out to a sandy mark- red & grey gurnard, then the doggies. Moved to the back of the Island and fished from the lighthouse down to the Anvil. Sport was a bit slower however, Pete started taking some nice pollack to about 6lb on the leadheads. You'll know for again Pete about spinning.
All in all a very good day with 5 newcomers to the Cricket who have vowed to be back for the next trip.
