If you had to choose

Postby Norfolk and Goode » Wed Feb 14, 2007 8:34 pm

If you had to choose 1 fly line to take on a days fishing, which flyline would it be.
By choice I mean either, floating, intermediate, sinktip or sinking. If it is it he likes of sinking with AFTM rating would it be eg. fast sink, slow sink etc.

I have two lines a floater and a sinker, and the majority of the time i would use the floater. I have them both in a 9wt but my older lines were in 8wt.

same as Lumpy, Intermediate line for most shore work. Fast sinking line for deeper marks or from a boat.

Floating double taper 7# for me....i use the DT because i find i have more control over the line and where i tend to fish i dont need a heavey line.
