Marks for bass In Northern Ireland

Postby ts1500 » Wed Sep 20, 2006 5:14 pm

Hi,
Ive read allot about bass around the north coast, particularly Benone, Castlerock etc, but surely there are other marks?
Does anyone know about Down Coast? Very keen to catch on the fly(well attempt to!)
thanks

Thats good to know thanks, i knew the lures i was plugging with were too big going unnoticed for too long, il stick to smaller ones for pollock.

what about DONEGAL im up there quite a bit, is it worth trying for Bass around Culdaff, Malin head etc, i know theres Sea trout!
Or any other beaches on the north coast worth Fly fishing

You could give whitepark bay a try ,theres the odd bass comes of it and theres some really bouldery spots in the middle of it which would be good for chucking a fly around .

If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.
