First day out this year estuary fishing for sea trout, wasn't expecting much action but it was a nice day and a good oppurtunity to shake off the cobwebs. No fish caught and no signs of fish either, probably a bit too early but still nice to be out casting a line.

This is prime time for them until June ,the trout were probably there but feeding deep on shrimps etc.as soon as the Sand eels and sprat appear you will see more surface action ,try fishing deeper or a slower retrieve

Thanks for that, will be giving it another try in a few weeks. Funny you mention that the only life I seen were shrimps, it was absolutely crawling with them, I'll have a few tied up for next time.
