Ok, yet another question...

Mon Nov 21, 2005 1:00 am

I'm looking for a kickboat, but since they cost WAY to much in Sweden I'd prefer to buy one overseas.

The one in particular I'm looking for is Guideline Drifter...
In Sweden it costs £140, know any UK stores or another European Union country that sells them for less then that?

Any other kickboat in good quality is ok if the Guideline cant be found.

ps. it would hurt if they accepted paypal payments ;)

A float Tube :?: or a proper kick boat? I wouldn't be too happy using a float tube in the Ocean. There might be a serious chance of getting swept out to sea by the currents. Have thought about it but felt that it is too dangerous.

On the subject of float tubes, the word 'Baltic' springs to mind.....seems surprisingly apt...

:? I'm confused now. It the baltic not a sea? Anyway I got a float tube and once you get over the wierd feeling of having your legs dissapear below you, they are great fun. The good new is that they are getting cheaper. I got mine from this guy Ebay link Excellent guy to deal with and for about $140 plus postage you can get an excellent float tube plus fins. Ask him to post it surface post and the postage will be cheaper.

The water im fishing in is Oresund
I think there is an English name for it to but I'm not sure.
We have lots of rivers and small lakes with large pike and large perch.

A float tube can be great fun for pike and perch but be careful when lure fishing with lots of hooks. Try to get one with a tough Nylon exterior as this might help if a hook hits of it. Always remember to wear a life jacket as well. I hope you manage to find a good one at a nice price. I remember reading that Snowbee had just released one and it was selling in Ireland for €220. I think that you should get a good one cheaper with the link that I provided.

saltwater fly

Just seen the post by fogelberg about a kick boat. Just read a great article about using kayaks for fly fishing. Loads of advantages over a float tube. The main one is, its easier and faster to get where your going, more comfort and lots more. Its in the Irish Country sports mag. If any one is interested I will try and get it on the forum.

Good Luck

Saw that article, got me all interested in buying a kayak, then I saw some great ones at the Dublin show....THEN I saw the price! From €1150 for the basic model up to €2000 for a good fishing kayak....
