Help!.... Pike flies.....(i know this is a sea forum!!!)

Sat Sep 24, 2011 12:18 pm

After a wonderfull day on the fresh yesterday, but only one Jack to show for it (on an orange/lureflash crazy fly)...
What would be your go-to fly for pike?
And would a feature finder be a real help?
Thanks!
(any pics?....i love fly pics!)

i like to use the green and gold patterns tight to the margins on lakes and i tend to go for white and black patterns on rivers to be honest during the summer pike are so active anythin with a bit of flash put in front of them will work. During the winter you need to work the fly a lot slower and deeper but it can be very rewarding . Pm me if you want a few spots that produce round the midlands.

Well done , where about were ye fishing :) I find working the bottom slowly with a green and yellow number works well to produce the bigger fish especially as the pike become less active with the onset of winter . Happy hunting
