Ahem!
A party of six French anglers (on boats mind you) took 51 (yes fifty one) sea trout in a day on the Moy channel, all fishing illex or similar lures - one of these anglers is reputedly one of the best in France, which does not surprise me. No bass reported BTW. The best fish was around 55 cms and all were returned alive. If you have a boat live is a lot easier but this mark can be fished at low water from the shore via a long walk down the beach at Enniscrone. You can also fly fish for the sea trout all the way up the river on the flood as far as Scurmore and there's always a chance of a salmon. Make sure you have a NWRFB licence, 29 EUR in all tackle shops.
Easky can be littered with surfers which can kill the fishing stone dead IMHO so better to try it nearing darkness and in light airs...
FWIW...
