yeah, thats the directions to fish the east end of the beach(white rocks).

the east strand is the stretch of beach running from portrush to this point.
if you are coming from the ballymoney / bushmills side ,to fish the west(town)end of the beach, take the road into portrush past kellys nightclub, go straight at the roundabout, past the maxol station you will see a signpost for the big east strand car park(opposite dolphin chip shop)

venue not yet decided john, seems east strand or the harbour are possiblities.
heard most of the fish on the east strand were caught at the town end, around the stream area (including a 46cm flounder) so its more or less just a matter of a very short walk from your car if you want to fish it, not the usual hike!! possibly more variety on the beach rather than harbour??

The club I am in is fishing East strand on Sunday 15th so will have a report closer to the time. Think it's a good idea to fix venue to either Portrush harbour or strand so everyone knows where they stand.

Spot on Phil, at least this meet is set with plenty of time to spare rather than the usual last minute rush. Hopefully this will encourage more people to turn up.

lug or rag tipped with either mackerel, sandeel or mussel will lift everything going.
