Lost Cushendun..!!! Reward £££

Postby scotchman » Fri Oct 28, 2005 2:34 pm

 Rod & Reel lost in Big Sea off Cushendun Beach...I won't go into the gory details, but any guys hauling in a 13ft Tip Tornado Match with a 7HT attached at Cushendun, please contact me to claim substantial reward ££££. All I am prepared to say is that I'm sick to the stomach at this loss, and I can't see any insurance claim on the horizon.
The rod is of sentimental value and I would like it back.
Please PM me on the forum if you hear of it turning up...Cheers Guys. :?: :?:

was down today and checked the beach and far left corner at low water but no sign of it mate, sorry! fish ed a few hours up to the right.

just in case anyone is down that way the sea swallowed up my tripod about 3 hours ago at the beach as well!!!! no reward but incase you hear of it you will know where it came from!!!! time to start making another one!!
jesus but that place was rough, it was like 1/2 a tree being dragged along about 40 yards out and caught both my lines, ran into the sea after my rods, got them thank god and turned around and the tripod had just disappeared!
the way it is at the minute its best advised to fish the the sand dunes and stay by your rod at all times the last 2hrs of fill and over high water.

Thanks for the comment Phil..That's only the second time I,ve fished here, but I still feel like a D**K, for not being wise to it.
A mate recovered my terminal tackle the next day and it was allegedly wrapped around a great big F**kin tree that had been washed up at the left hand side of the beach.
You live and learn..Ce la vie as they say in timbuktu.

Hello.
The sea took a rod and reel of mine some years ago.
Look at your house insurance( Sports goods In transit.) or some such like.
I GOT PAYED.
