I presume you mean a south Galway mark. I'd be on for trying the June weekend. Problem at the moment would be to get fresh mackerel.

We get the first run of fish around now for about 4 weeks and the next run when the macks are in.Fillets of flounder or dab will work well this time of the year, the wind at the moment might be a problem bringing too much weed ,fingers crossed it calms down.

whenever it suits best, I'd appreciate a call or PM - fresh mack is the problem though, plenty of joeys in the freezer from last year but I doubt they would be sufficient, but I can always get a few fresh ones, provide I have a few days notice. Would be a nice opportunity to meet some members from SAI too :D

Hi,

Just spotted this post. I was thinking of heading over that direction this weekend (bank holiday for us) for a look about. I remember posts from last year of tope from the Galway area but i have never ventured to that neck of the woods, so i would like to meet up with a few of the local experts.

Hey Lads, Im after just relocating to Galway last wed from Co cork.. Im a fishing fanactic, shore, trout and coarse. Im not familiar with the Galway marks at all. Im based in Knocknacarra, any pms would be appreciated or meet ups or even just an evening tripping around to see some marks and chat.

Im hoping for some bullhuss, rays, flats and when ye get to know me better a tope. I wouldnt mind a crack at some mullet some evening this week. Can someone point in a positive direction of where to look .

Cheers
