rescheduled from here viewtopic.php?f=8&t=33656
Ive booked the Clare Dragoon charter boat http://www.fishandstay.com/boat/
for a deep water reef fishing trip tues 26th and wed 27th April,
weather permitting. Target species pollack, ling, wrasses, whiting,
haddock, cod and the usual other suspects.
The fish seem to enter a kind of dormant state in March and once the water starts
to warm up a they go a bit mad trying to catch up so April can be a productive month.
It's not really viable to gillnet here in the winter weather, so the few boats there are
head for the west cork wrecks like everyone else, leaving the stocks untouched.
The boat leaves from Carrigaholt pier at 9am, about a three and a half hour drive from
Dublin or two and a half hours from Cork, and gets back in around 530.
This is an individually booked trip ( ie rather than chartering
the whole boat places are available at 80 euro per person )
Please post here if you are interested in taking a seat on this trip
