seats available deep water reef fishing, co clare, 15/10/10

Postby jw » Wed Oct 06, 2010 11:04 pm

The weather looks good for friday 15th, not something to be wasted
this time of year, of course the forecast
might change between now and then. Ive booked the clare dragoon
charter boat in co clare for a deep water reef fishing trip, weather
permitting. Hoping to find a few
lads to share the charter with.

Fishing is usually good this time of year for pollack, cod, whiting, coalie
etc, mid october last year I got a 25lb angler fish, so if we drift the
same ground maybe another one will turn up :-)

Please post here if you are interested in a seat on this trip

great!
I see from his (Lukes) website that I can rent gear too, does everyone do this or do you all have boat rods/rigs of your own?
I haven't seen any in Lidl/Aldi lately......

mike you can rent either a mono or braid setup for a nominal charge
and rigs as well. we would hopefully be getting good sized fish, so
you need strong quality rigs or they will pull the snoods off them
